Tonight’s game against Georgia is one of the biggest in recent Kentucky football history.
With a victory, the Wildcats can give themselves a real shot a finding themselves in Atlanta in the SEC championship game at the end of the season. After a rough start to the season, Kentucky has been one of the hottest teams in the conference of late, winning five of their last six, with their lone loss coming in Tuscaloosa to Alabama.
The primary reason for their ascension has been the strength of their running game. Alongside true freshman Benny Snell, Wildcat running back Boom Williams has been electric, and he kept that up tonight. His touchdown in the second quarter against Georgia was more evidence of that, and his score has given Kentucky the lead:

After Williams’ score, Georgia answered with a field goal of their own, but Kentucky retains its lead at 14-13.
