John Calipari collected a pair of technical fouls in fewer than 10 seconds on Saturday afternoon, leading to his ejection from Kentucky’s game against South Carolina with 17:34 remaining in the first half.
The coach did not go quietly.
Following a personal foul call on the Gamecocks, Calipari exchanged words — presumably about the physicality of that particular play, which knocked Jamal Murray to the floor — with referee Doug Sirmons, who promptly assessed Calipari a technical.
When Calipari approached Sirmans to get in his face, the referee doubled him up and ignited a fire within Calipari, who proceeded to lose his mind on the floor.

Calipari didn't coach at South Carolina this season much longer than Spurrier did.
