The Wildcats will have a new location for Cat Walk this season, and it will be named in the honor of a former Wildcats football player.
The alley between Commonwealth Stadium and Nutter Field House will now be known as Talbott Todd Way, according to a Monday release from the university.
Talbott Todd, who was a letterman for the Wildcats football team from 1963-65, is an avid supporter of the program who was diagnosed with ALS in 2015.

According to the release, Todd “led the team in interceptions with four as a sophomore and memorably secured the game-clinching fumble recovery as UK ended top-ranked Ole Miss’s 22-game regular-season winning streak on the road in 1964.”
There was a ceremony recognizing the naming of the alley way and relocation of Cat Walk on Friday.

Fans will have their first chance to check out the new setup on Saturday, Sept. 3 when the Wildcats open the 2016 season with a game against Southern Miss. The game is set for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff and will be televised on ESPNU.
