Jalen Preston has narrowed his top schools down to six and a commitment is next on his to-do list.
Preston, a top-100 prospect in the 2018 class and the No. 11-ranked wide receiver (according to the 247Sports Composite rankings), is scheduled to announce his commitment on Saturday, July 29. His decision will air on ABC13 in Houston.
Preston’s final six teams include LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas and Oklahoma. The 4-star wide receiver from Manvel (Texas) High School visited Baton Rouge earlier this spring.
The 4-star wide receiver from Manvel (Texas) High School visited Baton Rouge earlier this spring. At Nike’s The Opening Finals in Oregon, Preston said the biggest factors in his decision were early playing time, chances a team can capture to a national championship and a coaching staff’s ability to develop wide receivers. Preston said that LSU checked all of said boxes.
However, the Tigers are a bit of a darkhorse to land Preston’s commitment on Saturday.
Texas A&M holds 100-percent of the Crystal Ball picks for the 6-foot-2, 212-pound wide receiver. Preston visited College Station, Texas nine days ago.
