LSU’s first practice from spring break is beginning to take on a whole new level of importance.
As the Tigers’ coaches set to resume spring practice, yet another five-star prospect will be in attendance.
Add JaCoby Stevens to the list of prospects who will be on LSU’s campus on Tuesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder out of Oakland High School (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) told SEC Country he will take in the practice session as he continues to explore the Tigers as an option.
“I just want to see how the new (defensive coordinator) coaches,” Stevens said. “I just want to re-visit the Tigers while I’m down here.”
Stevens is rated as the nation’s No. 1 athlete and the No. 2 prospect from the state of Tennessee, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The Volunteer State native previously pledged to LSU in September 2015, but ultimately reopened his recruitment shortly after in November. That has coincided with 10 reported offers from some of college football’s powerhouses.
Stevens will join fellow five-star Dylan Moses, Todd Harris and Patrick Queen at the LSU practice. Moses is also a former LSU commit, while Harris is currently favoring the in-state Tigers. Queen committed to LSU in February.
