LSU got its man — officially. 5-star forward Emmitt Williams signed on the dotted line Wednesday morning, the first day of the 2018 spring signing period.
Williams made it official at a ceremony at his high school in Lehigh Acres, Fla.

The 6-foot-7 forward is the No. 24 overall player in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports composite rankings. He’s the No. 8 overall power forward by the same service.
Williams joins a loaded 2018 recruiting class for the Tigers. He’s one of two 5-stars and one of four top-55 players coming to Baton Rouge this summer. The other three, Nazreon Reid, Ja’Vonte Smart and Darius Days, have already signed their letters of intent.
This class, the first full one under coach Will Wade, ranks No. 5 in the country and No. 2 in the SEC, trailing only Kentucky.
