Four-star wide receiver Devonta Smith had previously announced that he would choose between Alabama, Miami, Mississippi State and Nebraska on Aug. 15.
Those plans have changed, as he has dropped pursuit of the Bulldogs and Cornhuskers and has added LSU.
I will be changing my decision list…

His change of plans would help explain Smith’s unexpected visit Saturday to Baton Rouge, La., for the Tigers’ inaugural barbecue.
The Amite (La.) High School standout is coming off a visit to Miami, and LSU’s refusal to give up on the elite wide receiver despite Smith’s comments that he prefers to play college football outside of his home state appear to have paid off.
Tigers wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig has single-handedly helped LSU make a run for the state’s No. 2-ranked prospect, and the program would gladly accept a commitment from the 6-foot-1, 160-pound talent as the fourth wide receiver in the 2017 class.
