LSU fans now know what their new favorite craft beer will look like.
Tin Roof Brewing Company has released the designs for the can and case of the new officially licensed beer of LSU: Bayou Bengal Lager.
The purple cans and case will give it a distinctive look that will surely be hard to miss at tailgates. The beer will also be available on draft at Tin Roof Brewing.
Tin Roof gave Bayou Bengal Lager a “solid, clean, crisp” taste, Beer Street Journal’s Reid Ramsay writes. The brewery had fans blind taste test flavors, and they ultimately chose the classic American lager.
The new brew will be available for purchase in late August, before the Tigers season opener against Wisconsin. Maybe it will be good enough to catapult Baton Rouge higher in the rankings of best SEC cities for craft beer.
