If Chad Johnson Jr. has the same sort of skill as his father, then LSU may be in some luck.
Johnson, the son of former NFL great Chad Johnson, better known as Chad “Ochocinco,” is set to make an unofficial visit to LSU on Feb. 4 after participating in the annual SPE Camp in nearby Sulphur, La.
The younger Johnson measures up at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds and is one of the top wide receivers in the Class of 2020. Early on in his recruitment, Johnson has garnered offers from Florida Atlantic and Oregon State, his father’s alma mater.
LSU is set to host a bunch of recruits following the SPE camp, including several other California area prospects such as newly offered 2020 quarterback DJ Uiagalelei and 2019 Texas defensive back Marquez Beason, among others.
The Tigers hold only one commitment in their 2020 class — from blue-chip Mississippi defensive lineman McKinnley Jackson.
