ESPN’s College GameDay will broadcast from the Quad on Saturday instead of the Parade Grounds in order to accommodate a ceremony honoring those who have served in the military.
The school announced the decision Wednesday after considering all the possible locations from which ESPN could broadcast. It will be the first time that GameDay broadcasts from the Quad in 12 trips to Baton Rouge.

GameDay normally broadcasts from the Parade Grounds when it comes to LSU. However, since LSU Salutes, which will include LSU’s military Hall of Honor induction ceremony, was scheduled to take place on the Parade Grounds on Saturday, the school decided to choose a different location.
According to LSU SID Michael Bonnette, the Quad will be the fourth different location to host GameDay. The Parade Grounds have been the site of the broadcast more times than any other location.
