LSU coach Ed Orgeron has set up a handful of critical visits this week. On Wednesday, he’ll make another big one.
Orgeron, along with New Orleans area recruiter and wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph, are scheduled to go in-home with 4-star uncommitted wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, he tells SEC Country.
Chase, a recent Florida de-commitment, is still considering the Tigers along with schools such as TCU and Michigan. The Under Armour All-American is expected to give a final commitment on National Signing Day in February.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Chase officially visited Michigan last month for the Ohio State showdown and will head to TCU on Dec. 15. He will head to LSU for an official visit sometime in January before his scheduled Feb. 7 announcement.
Joseph was in Chase’s home last Monday night, making this the second in-home from visit from members of the LSU staff in a nine-day span.
Orgeron will be inside the homes of 5-star WR Terrace Marshall Jr., 5-star QB Justin Rogers and 4-star DL Chasen Hines leading into Chase’s visit on Wednesday.
