Time is running out before Isaiah Buggs prepares to make a decision.
The 4-star junior college defensive lineman will announce his college destination on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, he told SEC Country on Saturday.
Buggs, the nation’s top junior college defensive lineman, is down to LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida and Florida State.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder originally hails from Ruston, La. Buggs has visited LSU and Auburn several times, including Baton Rouge for the Tigers’ games against Missouri and most recently, Florida.
Buggs has also made stops at Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State this fall.
The elite defensive end received coaches visits from LSU coach Ed Orgeron, Alabama coach Nick Saban and Auburn coach Gus Malzahn during the NCAA’s Contact Period. A visit from Saban and Tide defensive line coach Karl Dunbar led to Buggs making his inaugural trip to Tuscaloosa, Ala. this weekend.
Whichever SEC team lands Buggs, they are set to receive a tremendous boost to their defensive front.
