The former LSU offensive lineman was a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Steelers. Hawkins had hurt his shoulder earlier in the Steelers’ training camp.
Hawkins played both right and left tackle in his time at LSU and was a three-year starter for the Tigers. Hawkins had another year of eligibility, but opted to leave school to play in the NFL.
