Leonard Fournette appeared on ‘SEC Now’ Monday night, and played a little game of “Fact or Fiction.”
SEC Network‘s Peter Burns led the interview:
Burns: “Before the Southern Miss game, you threw a ball 70 yards in pregame warmups. Fact or fiction?”
Burns: “Fact or fiction: Paul Mainieri, the LSU baseball coach, recruited you to play baseball this year after seeing you throw a 103-mph fastball?”
Fournette: “It could be a fact, but it’s fiction right now.”
After two more questions came the Granddaddy of them all.
Burns: Fact or fiction. “LSU will beat Alabama this year?”
The LSU back waited a few moments before answering the question, the LSU running back called for a Tigers win.
“It’s going to be hectic. They are undefeated,” Fournette said. “Just know it is going to be one of the best games we are going to play as whole. I’m going to be make sure as a leader just preparing everybody each and every day.”
Following the Tigers’ 38-21 Week 8 victory over Ole Miss, the possibility of the upset seems more possible than ever before this season. LSU played one of its best games of the season, while Fournette rushed for 284 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries.
Meanwhile, Alabama still looks like the country’s top team after a 33-14 win over Texas A&M.
Both LSU and Alabama will be off this week before squaring off in Death Valley on Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET.
