The family of the Florida Gators fan who collapsed during the College World Series finals and was revived by two fathers of members of the LSU baseball program has released a genuine message of thanks for all who helped.
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” the family members say, according to The Advocate.
Dr. Jerry Poche, LSU pitcher Jared Poche’s dad, and Jimmy Roy, LSU strength and conditioning coach Travis Roy’s dad, performed CPR on the elderly man and helped him regain consciousness before paramedics arrived.
The man was identified as Bob Harvey of Brandon, S.D. Paramedics transported him to an Omaha hospital, where he is stable.
“The loving and dear man that you saved, who is our father, grandfather and great grandfather, will continue to greet brand new days and bless us with his love and care,” said his family’s letter released earlier this week, which also described Poche and Roy as “two incredible men.”
“Thank you’s are sometimes insufficient to express the deepest feelings of gratitude and comfort. This is certainly one of those times,” Harvey’s family said.
