Frank Wilson continues to recruit the state of Louisiana well, and the former LSU assistant coach is quite familiar with his newest player.
LSU reserve linebacker Ronnie Feist announced on Instagram that he will continue his football career at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
“I’m proud to announce that I will be continuing my education at the University of Texas at San Antonio formally known as UTSA,” Feist wrote. “I thoroughly enjoyed my tenure at LSU and was blessed to play under the leadership of Coach Les Miles. I have the pleasure of joining a team with the same coach who recruited me from West St.John, Coach Frank Wilson.
“To all my fellow tigers, coaches and teammates, thank you for a wonderful experience and I will always cherish the years, experiences and growth that I endured in Death Valley. I am excited to enter into a new phase of my life, athletic and academic career. I am more than blessed to have this opportunity to continue to pursue my dream to play in the NFL. I will remain steadfast and faithful in God and HIS plans for my life. One thing I have learned is that there are many ways to get to one destination. It’s not about the road taken, but rather the journey endured. Forever LSU and Geaux Tigers! Geaux UTSA.”
Feist appeared in five games for LSU in the 2015 season, registering one tackle. The Edgard, La., native has played both linebacker and defensive end with the Tigers.
Because Feist already graduated from LSU, the linebacker will be eligible to play immediately at UTSA.
