The 40-yard dash always seems to be the most-watched event at the NFL combine.
Jackson was interviewed Tuesday on the NFL Network and said he left a little on the table because of cramping issues. Analysts on the broadcast had mentioned Jackson’s health concerns, but Tuesday marked the first time Jackson was able to explain what happened in his own words.

“I felt good about it, I figured I could go a little faster but I cramped up like 10 meters into it,” Jackson said. “My first couple steps was a little bit hard so it kind of made my calf cramp up a little bit so I had to run most of it still a little bit hurt. I got through it though. I was pleased with my time.”
His time was still unbelievable given he tied for first in the 40 yard dash among defensive backs at the NFL combine. It does leave a little to the imagination about what Jackson could have been capable of running at full strength. Nevertheless, teasing NFL scouts with his speed should help his draft stock.
