Former LSU linebacker Deion Jones was a senior leader for the Tigers’ defense last season, and it looks like he has made a good impression on NFL scouts ahead of the draft later this month.
The 6-foot-1 New Orleans native has already had visits with the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets and his hometown New Orleans Saints, as reported by NFL Network’s Rand Getlin. He is also scheduled to meet with the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts this week, per Getlin.
Getlin also reports that Jones already had individual workouts with the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers.
Jones led LSU in tackles (100) and tackles for loss (13.5) during his senior campaign. CBS Sports projects Jones to be drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, which begins on April 28.
Either way, it appears Jones won’t be waiting for long to hear his name called.
