Trai Turner did his best trampoline impersonation after the Carolina Panthers scored the first touchdown of the NFL season Thursday against the Broncos. It will cost him more than just an unsportsmanlike 15 yards.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the NFL fined Turner $9,115 for his jumping episode.
Broncos' not only players fined for opener. Panthers' G Trai Turner also fined $9,115 for taunting, per source.

Did Turner hopping in place in the vicinity of a Bronco necessitate a taunting penalty? A fine? Compare the consequences of an innocent, if not misguided, celebration to those given to Denver defenders Brandon Marshall and Darian Stewart for their helmet-to-helmet hits of Cam Newton. Marshall’s hit didn’t draw a penalty, but he was fined $24,309, while Stewart drew a 15-yarder and was hit with an $18,231 fine.
