This could be the opportunity that former LSU running back Kenny Hilliard has been waiting for.
After spending most of the past two seasons on the Houston Texans’ practice squad, Hilliard signed with the Washington Redskins on Monday. The former Tiger was drafted in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft by Houston.
Hilliard, 25, has yet to make his regular-season debut. He had 1,547 yards and 27 touchdowns over 48 games (seven starts) while at LSU.

Hilliard was signed after former Georgia running back Keith Marshall suffered a season-ending knee injury, prompting Washington to release him with an injury designation. Marshall also missed all of 2016 with an elbow injury. He had 1,379 yards and 12 touchdowns over four years with the Bulldogs.
