Fournette is fresh off scoring 3 touchdowns against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the divisional round of the AFC Playoffs. He has rushed for 1,040 yards and 9 touchdowns in 13 games, battling nagging injuries through most of his rookie campaign.
The Jags will travel to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. Fournette’s health will be vital to Jacksonville’s chances against the Pats, and for now it seems he will be fine. But minor injuries in car accidents can show up days after the initial impact, so his status might be unclear throughout the week.
Kickoff from Foxborough, Mass., is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. ET on Sunday. CBS will televise the game.
