With Opening Day a week away, the former LSU standout will take the mound first to start the season.
Were in the last week of spring training, final cuts are being made and starting pitchers are being announced.
The Baltimore Orioles announced Monday that Former LSU Tiger Kevin Gausman will get the start to begin the 2017 season.

Looking to bounce back with his originally drafted team, Gausman is coming off a season with the Detroit Tigers where he went 9-12 in 30 starts and finished the season with a 3.61 era.
Before being drafted fourth in the first round by Baltimore in the 2012 MLB Draft, Gausman played two seasons for the LSU Tigers. Gausman went 17-8 for the Tigers and finished his sophomore year as first team All-American and first team All-SEC.
The Baltimore Orioles will open up the season at home against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday April 3rd.
