Former LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. said he’s “not having fun anymore.”
After the New York Giants receiver’s tantrums during games have come under fire recently, Beckham told ESPN’s Anita Marks that he “is not having fun anymore” playing football.
“Football is my sanctuary,” Beckham told Marks. “It’s where I go to escape. It’s where I’m most happy. I’m not having fun anymore.”
On Monday night, Beckham was flagged for a taunting penalty after several run-ins with Minnesota’s Xavier Rhodes. He also had a career-worst 23 receiving yards on just three catches. One week ago, he had a confrontation with Josh Norman of the Washington Redskins and also hit the kicking net on the sidelines with his helmet.
According to ESPN, Giants coach Ben McAdoo was asked Tuesday during a conference call about Beckham’s comment about not having fun in his current role.
“I have no response,” McAdoo said.
