Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports said Saturday’s game in Baton Rogue should be a close one.
But shortcomings at an important position means Alabama will ultimately prevail against host LSU, Feldman said this afternoon on ESPN’s The Paul Finebaum Show.
“I think it will be close,” Feldman said. “Ultimately I do not have enough confidence in Danny Etling to beat Nick Saban’s defense.”
Etling and LSU are 3-0 since Ed Orgeron took over as interim coach after the firing of Les Miles.
Feldman went on to say how it wasn’t just Etling that would struggle against the Crimson Tide.
“As good as Leonard Fournette is, as good as Guice is, I just ultimately think that quarterback-wise, I’m not sure they’re good enough,” Feldman said “I don’t know that their offensive line can avoid some of the mistakes, because Alabama comes at you in waves.”
As for the rest of the season (spoiler alert), you can expect more of the same from Feldman on his picks.
“I learned my lesson,” said Feldman, who was among those to take Texas A&M over the Tide. “I’m not picking against Alabama against anyone else in the SEC.”
