BATON ROUGE, La. — Greg Deichmann leads the SEC in home runs and has just about as many as all of his teammates combined.
In LSU’s game against Southeastern Louisiana Wednesday night, Deichmann showed that power off yet again.

Deichmann punished a pitch over the left-field wall for his eighth home run of the year, a three-run opposite field blast that gave LSU a 4-1 lead in the third inning of Wednesday’s game. The shot went an estimated 368 feet and left the bat at 104 mph.
The LSU right fielder also doubled in the fifth inning to push his number of extra-base hits this season to 14. Shortstop Kramer Robertson is the only other LSU baseball player in double digits.
As of the publication of this article, LSU still leads Southeastern Louisiana 4-1. Check back to SECCountry.com/LSU later for more updates on the game.
