Kickoff time, TV network announced for LSU-Syracuse game

LSU found out what it was like to play in the Carrier Dome back in 2015. Now it’s the Tigers’ turn to show Syracuse how things are done down on the bayou.

LSU will host Syracuse in a non-conference rematch of the Tigers’ 34-24 victory in upstate New York a couple of seasons ago. Only this time, the game will go down at Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers, which are off to a 2-1 start to Ed Orgeron’s first full season at the helm, will host Syracuse on Saturday, Sept. 23. The kickoff time will be 7 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN2.

Orgeron’s first two games as full-time head coach went down without much complaint, as the Tigers shutout BYU at the Superdome in the season opener and then dominated FCS school Chattanooga in the home opener.

But a 37-7 loss at Mississippi State in the SEC opener has many LSU fans uneasy.

Syracuse lost at home to Middle Tennessee, 30-23, during Week 2. The Orange moved to 2-1 in Week 3 with a 41-17 win against Central Michigan in Week 3.
