LSU running back Leonard Fournette enjoyed a record-setting day last week in a blowout victory over Ole Miss and the achievement was made all the more sweet through a phone call the next day.
Fournette received a phone call from former Tiger Alley Broussard, whose single-game school rushing record he broke. Broussard called Fournette Sunday to congratulate him on rushing for 284 yards and three touchdowns.

That’s a classy move from Broussard, who rushed for 250 yards against Ole Miss in 2004 to set the previous mark.
Fournette started the season as a Heisman Trophy favorite but the first few weeks of the season didn’t go particularly well for the Tigers and then Fournette missed time with an injury. He seems to be back to full strength now, which doesn’t bode well for the rest of the opponents on LSU’s schedule.
