Leonard Fournette is soon to be an NFL star, and now the LSU great has a major endorsement deal to go with his upcoming professional career.
According to a report from ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Fournette has signed a multi-year deal with shoe and clothing manufacturer Under Armour.
Though monetary specifics were not presented in the report, Rovell confirms that it is expected to be one of the most lucrative endorsement contracts ever signed by an NFL rookie.
“I’ve always had a great relationship with Under Armour and it means a lot that a company wants me to wear their product and that I’m good enough to represent them,” said Fournette, per the ESPN report.
Though he wore Nike products during his playing days at LSU, Fournette wore Under Armour during high school.
According to Rovell, Under Armour vice president of sports marketing Ryan Kuehl indicated Fournette will be used “to pitch a variety of products from training to footwear, lifestyle, connected fitness, with an immediate focus on the brand’s NFL Combine authentic line.”
