Leonard Fournette wants to star alongside Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible movie
Forget the Heisman Trophy. Leonard Fournette wants to be a movie star.
Actor Tom Cruise was at Tiger Stadium to watch Fournette and his LSU Tigers take down the Florida Gators 35-28 Saturday night. The halfback had one simple request for Cruise when he found out the Mission Impossible star was in the house.
“Tell him to put me in a movie … ‘Mission impossible 7,”’ said Fournette about Cruise, according to TigerRag.com’s James Moran.
Fournette better enjoy playing the villain. The next Mission Impossible film may involve Cruise trying to tackle the sophomore tailback in the open field. An impossible mission, indeed.
This wasn’t the first time Fournette has been linked to Hollywood. A Tigers fan suggested Fournette star in a different mega film after he ran for 159 yards and three touchdowns in LSU’s season opener against Mississippi State.
Both of these movies could exhibit the tailback’s talents. Mission Impossible would involve Fournette bowling over Tom Cruise with his bruising style, while The Fast and the Furious would feature him out-running Vin Diesel’s convertible. Fournette’s speed and power would certainly translate well onto the big screen.
Just give him a call, Tom.
