Les Miles may have coached his final game as LSU’s coach, but The Mad Hatter certainly went out in style.
Miles was carried off the field to a resounding ovation following LSU’s 19-7 victory over Texas A&M in the regular-season finale and quite possibly Miles’ final game as LSU’s coach.
The celebration continued for Miles and the Tigers, who advanced to 8-3 and ended a three-game losing streak Saturday night. Miles even delayed his postgame interview to sing LSU’s alma mater with his team. Miles may not be auditioning for American Idol anytime soon, but he sure showed plenty of pride in his Bayou Bengals despite all of the nasty circumstances.
After LSU’s 19-7 win over Texas A&M, Les Miles and Leonard Fournette discussed Miles’ time with the school and Fournette getting the record for most rushing yards in a single season.
After bellowing the alma mater, Miles was showered with “we want Les” chants from the student section. Clearly, a vocal contingency of the fan base still wants Miles to stick around at least one more season.
