You just never know what may happen in SEC Country. It’s the place everyone wants to be, including a recent World Series champion.
On Thursday afternoon, LSU coach Ed Orgeron let the world know he had a special visitor at his office, and it immediately increased his street cred with those who support the World Champion Chicago Cubs.
Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo was in the house in Baton Rouge, and Orgeron shared a picture of the two of them:

At this point, the nature of Rizzo’s visit is unclear. LSU has a world-class baseball program, so perhaps he was in town to check things out on that end.
Either way, it’s pretty cool to see the SEC mingle with baseball’s elite. Perhaps some of Rizzo’s championship mojo will rub off on Orgeron as he begins preparation for his first full season as the Tigers permanent head coach.
