A bet is a bet.
One of the great things about SEC football is that it can serve as a lifelong bond. Players don’t forget their old programs when they become professionals. Friendly bets between NFL teammates tend to happen, with valuable bragging rights at stake.
That appears to have happened in the Washington Redskins locker room, where linebacker Martrell Spaight was forced to wear an LSU jersey from teammate Ricky Jean Francois on Sunday. Of course, the Tigers torched Arkansas 38-10 on Saturday night at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in a renewal of the SEC West rivalry between the teams.

Spaight, a fifth-round pick in 2015, didn’t have much to cheer about Saturday. But you can bet Francois, a seventh-round pick in 2009, relished the rout.
With the victory, the Tigers improved to 6-3 and 4-2 in the SEC. The Razorbacks fell to 6-4 and 2-4 in conference play.
