LSU and Florida are getting ready to meet in the College World Series in a best-of-three series, and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome will be illuminated in the LSU colors in support of the Tigers.
The Superdome will shine in purple and gold throughout the series, starting Monday night and going through Wednesday if the series goes the distance.
The news was announced through the venue’s official Twitter account on Monday afternoon.

According to NCAA.com, this marks the third time in history that college baseball’s national championship will be decided by two SEC teams. South Carolina defeated Florida in 2011, while LSU took down Alabama in 1997.
The Tigers beat top-seeded Oregon State in back-to-back games to reach the finals, while the Gators shut out TCU 3-0 on Saturday to do the same.
LSU will be looking for its seventh national title in baseball, while Florida is seeking its first.
Monday’s game will begin at 7 p.m. ET with the other games on Tuesday and Wednesday (if necessary) will start at 8 p.m. All games will be televised on ESPN.
