Lindsey Scott is now the quarterback atop LSU’s big board, and it won’t be long before he visits Baton Rouge, La.
Scott, Louisiana’s Mr. Football, has scheduled an official visit to LSU for the weekend of Jan. 29, his father told SEC Country.
Scott, a 5-foot-11, 205-pound three-star quarterback prospect pulled in an offer from LSU on Tuesday. Scott’s offer came a day after LSU’s previous top quarterback target, Dwayne Haskins, flipped his commitment from Maryland to Ohio State.
A former Syracuse commit, Scott was also offered by Maryland earlier in the week upon Haskins’ de-commitment from the Terrapins.
LSU is the first SEC school to extend an offer to Scott, who made an official visit to Tulane last week and is set to visit to both Maryland and Rutgers this weekend.
The Zachary High School product will visit LSU last, which gives the Tigers’ coaching staff the final chance to make its pitch to Scott. He is LSU’s new top priority at quarterback, a position of need in this year’s recruiting class.
LSU has offered scholarships to seven other quarterback recruits this year, all of whom are committed to play elsewhere.
