LSU will be without its most frightening mascot, Mike VI, for the rest of the season. The university announced that the tiger will not appear at any of LSU’s home games the rest of the season, according to The Advocate
The announcement said the university “will reevaluate next season,” The Advocate reported. Mike VI made his lone cameo of the 2015 season at LSU’s home opener against McNeese State, a game that was ultimately cancelled due to lightning.
The Advocate reported that Mike’s appearance at the season opener was his first appearance at a LSU home football game since 2013. The stubborn tiger did not attend a game last season because of a reluctance to enter his mobile trailer, according to The Advocate. The last season Mike VI attended every LSU home game was 2011.
Perhaps Mike VI would rather support his fellow Tigers from the comfort of his home. Fortunately, Mike VI’s fandom can never be questioned.
