The lone cornerback in LSU’s 2017 recruiting class knows how to entice Tigers fans.
Kary Vincent Jr., the No. 11-rated cornerback in the country, released his official highlight tape on Wednesday. The 5-minute tape includes the top moments of an absolutely outstanding senior season.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder from Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial nabbed eight interceptions his senior season, including three returned for touchdowns. Vincent helped lead his squad to the third round of the Texas 5A Division I state playoffs, scoring three offensive touchdowns in as many games in the postseason.
Vincent, a 4-star Under Armour All-American, is the fifth highest-rated commit in the Tigers’ class. He officially visited LSU on Jan. 13-15 and has reiterated that he isn’t 100 percent, but 115-percent solid in his pledge.
LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond will go in-home with Vincent and his family for a second time on Thursday.
Last month in Orlando, Fla., Vincent impressed with his speed and, more specific, his ability to chase down defenders and consistently make plays. The cornerback boasts state championship track quickness and incredible ball skills. He is a threat to return picks and as a return specialist.
