LSU junior guard Tim Quarterman is officially going pro. Coach Johnny Jones confirmed to The Advocate’s Sheldon Mickles that Quarterman has declared for the 2016 NBA Draft and will hire an agent.
Quarterman averaged 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists for the Tigers last season. Jones confirmed the news, which was first reported by The Vertical’s Shams Charania. Quarterman joins freshman star Ben Simmons as the second Tiger to declare for the draft.
The Tigers finished a disappointing 19-14 last season and did not participate in any postseason tournament.
