LSU coach Les Miles seems excited about the direction his team’s aerial attack is taking during spring practice.
Miles spoke glowingly about the passing offense and also shed some light on how the quarterbacks are performing during a press conference Saturday.
“I think Brandon (Harris) is probably the starter and I think Danny (Etling) is coming like heck,” Miles said, according to The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger.
Etling, a Purdue transfer, seems to be pushing Harris during spring ball and could create a competition for the starting quarterback job. Harris completed 53.6 percent of his passes for 2,158 yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions last season.
Overall, Miles seems pleased with how the passing game is progressing.
“More consistent throwing the football than we’ve been,” Miles said, per Dellenger. “Real talented young receivers that will be fun to watch play.”
