Apparently, LSU coach Les Miles has a clear preference when it comes to his punters.
Speaking Monday, the coach made his choice obvious when talking about the special-teamers. In typical Miles fashion, he had some fun describing the players.
Here’s more, as relayed by FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman:
Les Miles on his punters: "If the guy can't speak Australian, I'm not interested." #LSU

There’s something to this. Of course, Tigers punter Josh Growden is from Sydney, Australia. He redshirted as a true freshman last year, but he’s expected to take on a larger role this fall. LSU’s former punter, Jamie Keehn, is a native of Gracemere, Australia.
The Tigers also have freshman punter Bailey Raborn, a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, on roster.
Will this interesting pipeline continue? It sounds like Miles would love to see the punting talent from Down Under continue to flock to Baton Rouge.
