For all of the talk about LSU’s incoming quarterback, it’s easy to forget about the incumbent.
That was until Wednesday, anyway.
After introducing two of the Tigers’ new assistant coaches, LSU coach Les Miles told The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger that Brandon Harris has made significant progress recovering from surgery and is expected to be ready for spring practice next month.
Harris underwent hernia surgery in early January and was expected to miss upwards of eight weeks, which would’ve put him on track to be ready for the spring.
Miles confirming the timeline means the quarterback presumably did not sustain any setbacks.
Harris has previously said the procedure was minor,to correct a nagging issue and nothing serious.
LSU’s spring practices get underway on March 7.
