BEAVERTON, Ore. — Kelvin Joseph is a household name in Louisiana, especially Baton Rouge.
The LSU commit’s reputation is apparently pretty popular in the Pacific Northwest, too.
Upon his arrival in Oregon for The Opening finals, Joseph had a fan reach out to him. She simply wanted to take a photograph with the nation’s No. 45 recruit (247Sports composite rankings), and Joseph was happy to do so.
“It’s a blessing,” Joseph told SEC Country at The Opening finals. “A lot of people know you and they’re watching you. You might not think people are watching, but it turns out, they are.”
Joseph was under the impression that LSU fans were paying attention … just maybe not to this degree.
The 6-foot-2, 191-pound defensive back believes he might have to get a bit more accustomed to this whole celebrity role after all.
“I guess I’ve got to be used it [the fans],” the usually stoic Joseph said with a smile. “But it was nice. I guess I’m going to have to be expecting or at least I’ve got to get used to it.”
