Saahdiq Charles put a scare in the LSU fan base earlier this week when he announced that he had a big announcement in store for Friday.
Well, the LSU offensive line commit was right. He did.
Charles, a 6-foot-5, 315-pound Opening finalist, revealed when and where he will be signing his national letter of intent.
Charles is set to make the announcement live on the NFHS Network (National Federation of State High School Associations) on Feb. 1. Along with his Madison (Miss.) Ridgeland Academy teammates, Charles will bring LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee hats to the table before signing on the dotted line.
Expect Charles to stick with the Tigers, and here’s why …
“I just felt at home with LSU,” Charles told SEC Country in November after he shut down his recruitment.
“I felt great about the situation going into next year. I prayed about my decision. There was no uncertainty anymore. They made a great hire with coach O and I talked to him, sat down with him and coach Grimes and we talked about the plan for the future, and I felt comfortable with them.”
