LSU signee Edwin Alexander is hopefully he will be able to enroll in Baton Rouge this fall after clearing one of his final hurdles to gaining NCAA eligibility.
Alexander has passed the two courses he needed to gain academic eligibility, a source tells Sonny Shipp of Geaux247. Alexander needed to pass these two courses to get the core GPA needed to pass the NCAA Clearinghouse. The talented defensive tackle is still awaiting the results of his latest ACT before meeting all the requirements from the NCAA to enroll.
There seems to be confidence though that Alexander will be on campus and able to practice and play by the fall.
Alexander was the No. 8 defensive tackle in the country and the fourth best prospect in Louisiana overall according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
