LSU received some good news Monday.
The school confirmed that nose tackle Travonte Valentine will be eligible for the season after passing an intersession course, as reported by Jim Kleinpeter of NOLA.com. Valentine received a passing grade in the class, qualifying him for the season. He has practiced with the Tigers for more than a week.
Valentine, a former four-star prospect as rated by 247Sports’ composite rankings, was on LSU’s roster for the 2014 season but later dismissed for violating team rules. He had stints at Arizona Western College and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, the site of where he completed classes during the summer prior to arriving at LSU.
