Before the big official visitors arrive in Baton Rouge, the LSU staff has one more stop to make.
Tigers defensive backs coach Corey Raymond is making his way to Thibodaux, La., to visit 3-star cornerback Amik Robertson.
This is Raymond’s second visit of the Contact Period. He saw 4-star defensive back Todd Harris on Thursday.
The 5-foot-9, 165-pounder from Thibodaux (La.) High School camped at LSU in July and was one of the more impressive performers. After that camp, Robertson spent a few hours sitting down with former head coach Les Miles, then-area recruiter Ed Orgeron and Raymond.
Robertson’s sit-down meeting with Raymond comes before he makes his official visit to Louisiana Tech this weekend. He is also scheduled to make official visits to Oklahoma State and Houston to round out the month.
As it stands today, Robertson does not yet hold an offer from LSU. That could change depending on how the meetings with Harris, a priority safety target, goes during his official visit this weekend.
