National Signing Day was too far away for D’Andre Christmas-Giles.
The four-star defensive tackle will instead make his college decision Tuesday night, he announced on Twitter.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound prospect from New Orleans is deciding between LSU, Texas and TCU, the three finalists he named last month.
Christmas-Giles was originally scheduled to bring the three caps to a National Signing Day ceremony Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET at St. Augustine High School (New Orleans).
The nation’s No. 34 defensive tackle took official visits to the three aforementioned schools. Christmas-Giles went to TCU on Dec. 4, to Texas on Dec. 11 and LSU on Jan. 15.
Christmas-Giles received an offer from the hometown Tigers in mid-December, which led to his de-commitment from Tennessee.
He told SEC Country that he was a fan of LSU’s campus and the high volume of defensive tackles already embedded in the TIgers’ 2016 class would not impact his decision.
“I got along with the guys pretty well, the football players, and I liked the campus,” Christmas-Giles said. “It’s a pretty good defensive line, but I’m not sure if that shakes up anything for me. It doesn’t matter.”
