The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder fits the new mold of safeties with a long, athletic build, similar to another LSU target Grant Delpit (6-foot-4, 181 pounds).
The nation’s No. 25 safety holds offers from a number of other SEC powers, including Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Woods also has generated interest from the likes of Alabama, Missouri and Ole Miss.
