LSU has done a great job of making South Carolina feel at home this weekend through a variety of warm gestures toward the visiting Gamecocks. Tigers fans are getting in on the hospitality, too.
A group of Tigers fans were seen with letters spelling out “SEC United” painted on their bodies in support of South Carolina, which was forced to move its game from Columbia, S.C. to Baton Rouge, La. after extensive flooding forced a change of venue.
LSU fans are also doing their best to support South Carolina through charity. According to The Advocate’s Marcus Rodrigue, Tigers fans have been generously donating to the South Carolina relief fund organized by American Red Cross.
“You’d be amazed how many people have given something,” a Red Cross worker told Rodrigue Saturday. “People are walking up to me and giving me change out of their pockets. I don’t even have to ask.”
