Gametime Announcement

Florida vs. LSU

The kickoff time for LSU’s Oct. 8 game at No. 23 Florida was announced Monday.

The Tigers (2-2, 1-1 SEC) and Gators (3-1, 1-1 SEC) will kick off at noon ET at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN.

LSU will be playing its first road game under interim head coach Ed Orgeron, who is taking over for the fired Les Miles. The Tigers have dropped both of their contests away from home this year, losing the opener to Wisconsin at Lambeau Field before falling 18-13 at Auburn to end Miles’ 12-year tenure.

Florida is also coming off a loss this week after blowing a 21-3 lead at Tennessee in a 38-28 defeat.

The Gators-Tigers matchup will potentially have the incredibly strange distinction of former Purdue quarterbacks playing for each team — Danny Etling for LSU and Austin Appleby for Florida.

Orgeron’s debut is this weekend against Missouri.
