BATON ROUGE, La. — A former LSU football player has found a new home.
Former LSU center Andy Dodd, who announced he’d be transferring away from LSU before spring ball began, has landed elsewhere in Louisiana, choosing FCS school McNeese State as his new home.

Dodd played in six games for LSU in 2016, starting one when regular center Ethan Pocic went down with an injury. Though Dodd was Pocic’s backup last season, Pocic will be replaced at center in 2017 by Will Clapp, who started at left guard for the Tigers last season.
Dodd will be eligible to play immediately at McNeese State, which is located in Lake Charles, La.
